I use TD Ameritrade, Schwab, and Robinhood. I think they all have their limitations/good qualities, but Robinhood is just way too oversimplified. TDA tends to give me the best information up front, but overall Schwab is what I’d recommend the most.
TradingView is the best charting platform in the world, and their customer service stands out from all others. As a premium user, I always receive a detailed response within a few hours. They constantly implement improvements and introduce new features.
You use CQG as the middleman. It really is pretty simple. Setup an account with Tradovate. Tell them you want to use SC for Charting and Trading. Choose CME Group or whatever data you want. Sign up for SC Package 5. Tradovate gives you your CQG data / trade login creds and you are good to go.
