You use CQG as the middleman. It really is pretty simple. Setup an account with Tradovate. Tell them you want to use SC for Charting and Trading. Choose CME Group or whatever data you want. Sign up for SC Package 5. Tradovate gives you your CQG data / trade login creds and you are good to go.
I use TD Ameritrade, Schwab, and Robinhood. I think they all have their limitations/good qualities, but Robinhood is just way too oversimplified. TDA tends to give me the best information up front, but overall Schwab is what I’d recommend the most.
They give you the choice of Rithmic, CQG and a few more data feeds. I’m paying $2 for CME and NYMEX top of book on CQG. Would be $20 for the 2 for depth of market. Rithmic is more expensive but if your style of trading requires seeing more than 20 levels of liquidity then you have to get it.
