Ecology is the process by which organisms interact with each other and their environment, with the environment as a stage and ecology as the performance. ‘What is ecology?’ explains what happens when organisms feed on and compete with others.
The reality that is relevant to ecological psychology is the perceived environment taken with reference to active organisms, that is, affordances. Likewise, a mathematical or a cosmological framework is to be valued in the context of their associated conceptual or symbolic systems.
