  2. Abstract. Traditionally, ecology has emphasized the study of organismenvironment relationships. Ecological psychology focuses specifically on the interdependence of humans and their environments, typically studied under real-world conditions rather than in the laboratory.

The intent of the journal is to provide a forum for investigations that expand the boundaries of cognitive systems to include not only the brain but the body and the environment as well.
