14 Απρ 2021 · Can a nurse visit CPT code be used to bill for a blood pressure check only? If the provider ordered the service, then yes, 99211. In our primary care clinics, patients that come in for BP check only (with no additional management) it is not considered billable. Why wouldn't you bill the 99211? You wouldn't bill it if the provider didn't order it.

12 Οκτ 2019 · ANSWER: You may bill CPT code 99211 for a blood pressure evaluation for an established patient whose physician requested a follow-up visit to check blood pressure. CPT code 99211 does not require the presence of the physician.

If their blood pressure is normal, the RN may code a 99211 E&M code with a Z01.30 Encounter for examination of blood pressure without abnormal findings. Alternatively, if the patient’s blood pressure is elevated, the RN may instead code for a Z01.31
