24 Νοε 2022 · An LPG car is one that has been designed from the factory to run on liquefied petroleum gas, or has (more commonly) been converted to take LPG by an aftermarket conversion company. They are sometimes referred to as dual fuel or Bi-Fuel cars as they can switch between LPG and petrol.
Autogas or LPG is liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) used as a fuel in internal combustion engines in vehicles as well as in stationary applications such as generators. It is a mixture of propane and butane. Autogas is widely used as a "green" fuel, as its use reduces CO 2 exhaust emissions by around 15% compared to petrol. [1] .
Most petrol cars can be fitted with an LPG (Liquid Petroleum Gas) conversion, turning them into ‘dual-fuel cars’ that can run on LPG as well as petrol. The LPG fuel tank is added to the boot, taking up boot space and making the car slightly heavier.
