The UK pay ranges at pay bands 4 to 8 are divided into three pay zones and divided into two pay zones at pay bands 9 and 10. An individual's salary, excluding all allowances, determines which pay zone applies to them.
How to read the salary schedule. Listed vertically down the left-hand side of the schedule are salary steps. An employee will move one step for each semester of satisfactory service. Listed horizontally across the top of each salary schedule are the salary differentials.
Grid Rate Pay is calculated in Years of experience credit to the tenths of a year (along the Y axis) and QECO Category placement (along the X axis) e.g. CAT A3 Year 3.1, CAT A2 Year 0.3, *Grid Max A4 Year 10.0. To find out how to raise those read further, below, under Work Experience heading.

18 Μαΐ 2013 · On the top of most pay scales, there are notations like BA, MA etc... I know that they mean Bachelors & Masters, but what does +15 and +30 mean after that? Would MA + 15 mean that someone completed a masters and then another 15 credits? And does it matter how many credits are in that masters degree?
