HF with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) is a clinical syndrome affecting millions of people worldwide, whose pathophysiology is still poorly understood. Diagnosis relies on a combination of symptomatology, echocardiographic evidence, exclusion of noncardiac causes of dyspnea, and in some cases invasive hemodynamic measurements.
