This pack is designed to support your revision through reminders of exam structure, key techniques and writing skills. You can also find many practice questions included that can be used to practice exam skills. You should also seek advice and feedback from your teacher and use this to help you.
There are three sets of practice papers in this revision guide. The two texts you will be given in the real exam are likely to be: From different time periods. The aim of this revision booklet is to guide you through exactly how to answer each type of question. Once you’ve learnt the way to each question, have a go at some of the practice papers at the back. The more you practice, the better you will be.
English Language Paper 1- Explorations in Creative Reading and Writing. Exam Information at a glance: 1 hour 45 minutes long. 80 marks. 50% of English Language GCSE. Section A- 4x reading based questions= 40 marks. Section B- 1x extended creative writing question (descriptive or narrative) = 40 marks.
