26 Νοε 2021 · Hi, My laptop has a 512 GB NVME SSD, and is working perfectly fine. However, I have an old SSD (SATA 1TB), which I would like to add to my laptop if possible. I just have to know whether my laptop has the required SATA port and space to install it internally.
Yes, this is SATA. You can use any SATA SSD. For more general reference, practically all laptops made after 2006 have SATA. SATA versions are all backwards and forwards compatible (barring specific buggy devices) and have no real limitations below 2TiB.
14 Ιουν 2017 · The specifications of the M.2 B/M slot on this device is not listed anywhere, including the official maintenance and service guide. I would prefer to install a PCIe SSD for the slightly better performance, but I suspect this may be a SATA3 slot only.

1 ημέρα πριν · What type of SSD does your notebook currently have installed? If it has a 2.5" SSD installed, you can install a M.2 NVMe SSD. Your notebook's M.2 slot is PCIe Gen 3.0. While the Crucial P3+ will work fine, it will not run at its maximum advertised read/write speeds from a Gen 3.0 SSD slot.
