22 Σεπ 2018 · There is literally nothing you can do to insert that M.2 into that laptop. Your best performance option is a 2.5 inch SSD. If its any consolation a SATA M.2, which is all any laptop in that series can take, is no faster than a 2.5 inch SATA SSD, just a different package for the same basic hardware.

24 Δεκ 2017 · Your laptop has a slot for an M.2 disk and it will accept a PCIe/NVME type M.2 which is the Holy Grail of storage. A SATA SSD is 4 or 5 times as fast as a mechanical drive and then a PCIe/NVME M.2 disk is 4 or 5 times faster than that.
25 Οκτ 2014 · If I'm reading this HP manual correctly, it has a secondary SATA drive slot that's customer-replaceable. (Since the laptop config for my specific model only lists one drive, I'm assuming that it'll be an empty slot.)
