26 Νοε 2021 · I just have to know whether my laptop has the required SATA port and space to install it internally. I tried to get a service manual from the HP website, but didn't get it. Any help is appreciated.
1 Νοε 2020 · Right here you can see which SATA port your HDD is using. Another way to do this is right in the File explorer. Just right-click on the drive Properties>(on the properties window) click on Hardware and there it is on Location that's where is your HDD connected. Hope it helps!

To check that click on save the report from the hwinfo application and in the generated html file check for the SATA Host Controller section.
