2 Μαΐ 2015 · There are sata 1,2 and 3. They are evolutionary steps, each I think doubling the speed. So sata 3 is 6gb/s and sata 2 is 3gb/s and sata 1 was 1,5gb/s. There might be more to this, but this is what I've learned from basic sata folk like me use.
