1 Οκτ 2021 · Through an exploration of student nurses and lecturers’ professionalism discourses, this study illuminates influences on professional socialization and offers an appreciation of the processes of language (discourse) adoption involved.
By far the largest amount of research on the socialization of nurses has centered on examining certain values and attitudes of graduating students in three types of nursing schools or measuring these same values and attitudes on a sample of nurses practicing in their first professional role.

Professional socialization of nurses can be continuously developed by emphasizing elements of the professional socialization scale in nursing education programs.
