12 Οκτ 2012 · Short answer: Wi-Fi = yes | Cellular = no. Doesn't DNS solve this? Perhaps there is a way to give your phone a DNS. The IP address could change, per tower for instance, but the DNS to which you connect with SSH would remain the same. I wonder if this is possible.

7 Απρ 2010 · For accessing using SSH, make sure your iPhone's Wi-Fi connectivity is on. Now open your terminal and type "SSH root@'address'". Here address refers to the IP address of your iPhone. You have to type a password to access the iPhone contents. Once you are authenticated type "ls" and you will be shown with the contents of the iPhone.
Type ssh root@iphoneipaddress (substitute the iphone’s IP address for iphoneipaddress. Get this by opening SBSettings and looking at the “wifi” field. It is a number with 3 periods such as 10.2.2.24).
