Autocast is an option of many Magic weapons, primarily staves, that can be activated on the combat section of the interface. This attack option causes players to automatically cast a selected spell when they attack, as opposed to manually selecting the spell and its target each time you wish to cast it.
Ancient Magicks is generally used for powertraining Magic, as very high rates can be acquired with burst or barrage spells (the latter being much more expensive) with relatively low attention in multi-combat areas with plenty of monsters, such maniacal monkeys or smoke devils.
The ancient staff is a one-handed magical weapon that can be used to autocast spells from the Ancient spellbook and standard spellbook. It requires 50 Attack and 50 Magic to wield, along with completion of Desert Treasure I. The staff is decorated with the symbol of Zaros.
Ahrims as well IF you have the set and the amulet of the damned equipped. It gets this as a bonus from the necklace, on top of the affect that any auto cast spell gets a 30%dmg boost
So as long as I am wearing the amulet of the dead with full ahrims robes on, I can cast and auto cast ancient magicks with the ahrims staff? Just like how the regular ancient staff would? Sorry if this is a dumb question, I just want some clarification before I buy it. Question is, why?
You need to be on ancient spellbook in order to autocast ancient magicks with the ahrims staff. The reason it states that you can autocast ancient spells with the staff is that not alot of staffs have that ability.
The Ancient staff, Master wand, Kodai wand, and Ahrim's staff (with Ahrim the Blighted's equipment and the Amulet of the damned) can autocast the Ancient Magicks, as well as spells from the standard spellbook.
