1 Ιαν 2022 · The UAE federal government has adopted a four and a half-day working week. Hence, employees work eight hours, from 7.30 am to 3.30 pm from Monday to Thursday, and from 7.30 am to 12.00 pm on Fridays. Saturdays and Sundays are the official weekends for the federal government sector.

Official working hours in government entities will be from 7.30am to 3.30pm, Monday to Thursday, with regular flexible timings remaining applicable, and from 7.30am to 12.00pm on Friday.
Working hours are Monday to Thursdays starting at 7.30am and ending at 3.30pm; Friday working hours are 7.30am to 12 noon. There is also flexibility for government staff to work from home on Fridays, as well as to arrange their working hours on a flexi-time basis.
