15 Ιαν 2011 · Helson makes darn good watches and you'd be surprised how many small and large brands (of watches) are actually made in China. It's all up to the individual company to put in place the specs, requirements, QC, and final acceptance of their product to their standards and expectations.
26 Μαρ 2014 · The Spear Diver is the first watch Helson has produced where vintage examples of the original watch can easily be found at equal or less cost than the Helson remake. This point has made the Spear Diver a tough buy for many collectors and enthusiasts.

In addition to the case designs, a bevy of color options and a choice of movements make this series of Helson watches accessible quality at different price ranges.
11 Ιαν 2012 · There were many models of the Fifty Fathoms, but the Helson Skindiver is clearly based on the military models from 1953. Focusing now on the Helson, it is a beautiful watch to behold that stays very true to its source.
The Helson Sharkmaster 300 is a beautiful recreation of the iconic SM300 design from Omega. Helson manages to bring their own build characteristics into this watch by delivering a hefty and rugged case and bracelet, while maintaining all the important aesthetic details of the original SM300.
I find it strange that HODINKEE, Worn & Wound...etc, haven't covered it as far as I can tell? They look great, and the ETA 2824 is good for the price. I know "made in China" isn't as bad as it used to be, but it still doesn't inspire me with buy blind confidence like a Swiss-made watch.
