Location on Windows XP: Documents and Settings\User\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPhone Software Updates. You’ll now see iPhone/iPod/iPad Software Updates file with a .ipsw extension, if present.
29 Μαρ 2019 · Please press Windows key + R simultaneously and type in %appdata% followed by the ENTER key. This should lead you to your AppData\Roaming folder. You should find .ispw files located following "Apple Computer\iTunes\iPhone Software Updates" which are indeed updates for your iPhone.
23 Απρ 2012 · On Mac, you can delete the iOS firmware by going to Finder, pressing ⌘ cmd + ⇧ shift + G and go to ~/Library/iTunes/iPhone Software Updates. From there, you can delete the files. You don't have to delete them unless you are short on disk space, as they get replaced by newly downloaded files whenever there is an upgrade.
15 Ιουν 2024 · I searched the site and found this question about the location of iOS updates, but the most recent answer was for Windows 10. I am using Windows 11, and it seems the location is different for this OS.
16 Φεβ 2015 · At a guess they go to C:\Users\<User>\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPhone Software Updates. I'm not sure you can redirect them to go anywhere else, but you should be able to relocate your device backup folder to reclaim some space on C: Relocate iOS device backups.
