You can buy vanilla at a better price in the grocery store. There are a few near the Plaza Bavaro area, ie Plaza Fruisa, and also in El Cortecito. I found this gorgeous boutique in el cortecito which I have to get around to encouraging much more.
I have heard alot about Vanilla extract from DR. Where will be a good place to buy at a reasonable price. We are staying at a resort in Macao beach. Is it better to stop by a local grocery store? or get it from the resort or airport?
Most of the supermarket vanilla is artificial. To get the good stuff, it is going to cost more than $2.00 a bottle. Places like Mundo Atentico and other upscale gift shops have the real deal...but not at $2.00.
