3 Οκτ 2023 · An aerial view of the meeting point of Sonoran Desert Parkway and Route 347 on Sep. 11, 2023. [Bryan Mordt] After more than a decade of work and a recent dramatic saga that sought to delay, the Sonoran Desert Parkway is slated to open next week.
3 Ιουλ 2022 · Formerly referred to as the East-West Corridor, Sonoran Desert Parkway will link John Wayne Parkway on the south side of Maricopa to Interstate 10, providing an alternative to State Route 347 to get to the Valley.

Sonoran Desert Parkway consists of a 4-lane parkway which begins at the Ak-Chin Casino entrance, then follows the existing Farrell Road alignment to Porter Road. The project then turns north and constructs Porter Road with a new bridge over the Santa Rosa Wash.
