Step 1. Contact Verizon Wireless's customer service hotline. Although the actual number may vary in your area, you can usually connect to the company's high speed Internet division by dialing 1-888-625-8111. Step 2. Give the operator your account information, and inform them you need a new router, or if you are upgrading, request a DSL update.
