Fruits spawn under anything considered a tree (which is on almost every island in the game), such as potted plants (on Cursed Ship), cactus (located on Desert), and snow-covered trees, except at the castle in the Skylands.

However, it has changed with the latest update, and they’re no longer found at their usual spots, like Castle or the Sea Hydra Island. Now, they spawn in the outer sea near some rocks.
