Did some routine maintenance this week... Less than 15 minute oil change on my Whipple Supercharger. Here’s a quick tutorial.
Check the supercharger oil level. Adjust if required. Clean & oil the air filter at the factory recommended intervals. Follow the standard maintenance recommendations by vehicle manufacturer. Change oil as directed below: Lysholm compressor ONLY: every 25,000 to 300,000 miles with 5-50 wt. full synthetic motor oil.
Check the oil level of your supercharger. Use the sight glass or dipstick (depending on your supercharger model) to confirm the correct oil level. See image below for sight glass.

Check the supercharger oil level at every engine oil change. Add Whipple SC oil to the supercharger if required. Do not overfill the supercharger rear gear case.
26 Ιαν 2012 · Actually Whipple told me to use a 100% synthetic 5w/50 oil. As far as draining it goes just remove the allen head bolt metioned above. I picked up the 5w/50 oil at NAPA.
