I don't recall needing to reboot, but you may need to afterwards to show your IPv6 address on the firmware page.

Go to http://mydeviceinfo.comcast.net/ for a list of modems with IPv6 support. If there's no check mark under IPv6, your modem is not supported, and therefore, an upgrade to a new one is a must. 1.
This link says that all that is needed to do is to enable IPv6 on the Setup/IPV6 page in the DD-WRT router and to choose the IPv6 Type "DHCPv6 with Prefix Delegation", and the IPv6 address should appear at the top of the DD-WRT screen after "Apply Settings" is clicked.

6 Μαρ 2021 · I'm reading the manual for my customer-owned wireless router and it says to get the IPv6 settings from the ISP. The TP-Link router disabled IPv6 by default, but I enabled it (I inputted what seemed logical but I'm not sure what the default or recommended settings are).
