24 Ιουν 2024 · Dean Bortz: Here’s how the Wisconsin DNR fish teams conduct their lake surveys. Fyke, or box, nets are set right at ice-out to capture primarily walleyes, but the Wisconsin DNR crews handle all species found in the nets. As the water warms, the crews then shift the fyke nets to muskie spawning sites on the same lake.
Introduction. Cedar Lake is an 1,107 acre eutrophic drainage lake located on the St. Croix and Polk County line approximately 7 miles north of New Richmond. The lake has a maximum depth of 38 feet and 6.4 miles of shoreline. Water levels are subject to artificial fluctuation by manipulation of. low head dam at the south end of the lake.
