Volume 8 was revised by Professor McNaughton in 1961 and Volumes 2-7 and 9 were revised by Professor Chadbourn between 1970 and 1981.

The review provides examples of some newly added topics and concludes by discussing Wigmore's view of evidence law as balancing both logic and considerations of expediency.
