THIS revision by Professor Tillers of the first volume of Wigmore's Evidence in Trials at Common Law now completes the revision of all nine volumes of the treatise since the third edition was published in 1940. Volume 8 was revised by Professor McNaughton in 1961 and Volumes 2-7 and 9 were revised by Professor Chadbourn between 1970 and 1981.
