If your TV has the red green blue cable inputs (component) instead of just the yellow single video cable, you really should try getting one of those cables for the wii-TV connection. It's a significant video upgrade.

I've yet to try HD Retrovision's Wii cable. Curiosity has the best of me and will eventually get one just to find out for myself. For what it's worth: for a while I used a multi console cable from Monoprice that works just fine (but is a little unwieldly).
25 Μαΐ 2007 · I have seen some third party component cables list the following feature: "720p/1080i compatible" Does anyone know if the Nintendo cable also has this feature? Or do all component cables support higher resolution as long as the TV supports it?
5 Οκτ 2024 · The component cables from Rocketfish will probably get you the best picture of the bunch without modding the console. As stated above, the HDMI adapters have a layer of conversion in the pipeline that isn't ideal.
If you need HDMI, get a component to HDMI converter. For component cables, the cheap $8-10 ones you see on Amazon are good enough for most people.
5 Οκτ 2024 · Wii w/ component is a major boost over composite, and a very worthwhile boost over s-video even. You don't need anything fancy either - I got my component cable from monoprice. As for 3rd party hdmi converters, there was only one that the videophile types considered suitable.
