Wild Goats of Kauai. Goats of the Kalalau Trail. The day before, while hiking in (Kalalau Trail), I heard this big billy goat calling from below the trail. On the way out, the herd was right on the trail. They spooked but stopped 30 yards away, giving me time to switch lenses and take some photos.

High numbers of goats can be found between the 6 and 11-mile markers. For day trips, try up in Hanakāpīʻai Valley. Good pig hunting occurs in the first 6 miles of the trail. Excellent surf fishing for bone-fish and trevally can be found at Hanakāpīʻai beach and Kalalau Beach.
