Willie Horton (born William Wattison Horton; October 18, 1942), nicknamed "Willie the Wonder", is an American former baseball left fielder and designated hitter who played in Major League Baseball from 1963 to 1980, primarily for the Detroit Tigers.

18 Μαΐ 2018 · Willie Horton. Brief Biography. Willie Horton was born in Virginia and came to Detroit as a boy. He attended Detroit Northwestern High School and signed with the Detroit Tigers in 1961. He made his major league debut in 1963.
20 Μαΐ 2015 · First called up by the Tigers in September, 1963 Horton spent virtually all of the 1964 season in the minors and nearly quit baseball when on New Years’ Day 1965 he learned that his parents had been involved in a tragic auto accident on I-94 near Albion. His father had died instantly and his mother passed away a few days later.
