This cake was a breeze to make — thanks to Wilton and their great shaped cake pans! I purchased the Elmo-shaped cake pan at Hobby Lobby. I baked a yellow cake (box mix) — the pan will take 1 box’s worth of batter to make the full Elmo shape.
I used the WILTON "Elmo" cake pan with 1 box cake mix, baked per directions with pan. Icing was mixed with Wilton icing colors. 1.) fill in mouth with white icing. 2.) cover eyes with white icing. 3.) nose with purple icing. 4.) "star" tip to pipe the face. 5.) chocolate candies for pupils. 6.)

Wilton is pretty neat, in that they have a whole line of kid’s character bake pans to choose from – Dora, rubber ducks, Disney’s Cars, Barney, teddy bears, Barbie – literally hundreds of different styles.
