8 Φεβ 2018 · Windows bootloader can multi-boot other Windows versions and even that has caveats/limitations. Overwritten bootloaders is something of the past (BIOS/Legacy). With UEFI bootloaders coexist in the ESP (EFI System Partition) and can be selected to boot independently.

9 Αυγ 2020 · 1. While upgrading, Windows probably installed it own bootloader, so that you need to restore GRUB. You may do it in Linux from the command line, using the command: sudo grub-install /dev/sda. Replace sda by your disk as required. You may also use the Ubuntu boot media: Boot from the Ubuntu CD/USB.
Make sure that you install Grub2 on the Ubuntu partition - don't install it on the MBR since this will overwrite the Windows boot-loader. Boot into Windows and install EasyBCD Add Entry and choose Grub2 i.e.
In Windows 10, you can use Advanced Recovery to select a device (partition?) to boot from. Go to Settings and choose Update & Security: Go to Recovery: From Advanced Startup choose Restart Now. 2 Ιουν 2018 · Since Windows 10 has updated, it now automatically chooses the windows boot manager. Ubuntu is the first in the boot priority list, and even if I press escape during startup to manually choose a boot device, and then choose ubuntu, it still loads up the windows boot manager.
2 Αυγ 2015 · I installed Ubuntu on a system that has Windows 10 installed. I can boot to Windows or Ubuntu normally using GRUB. I want to delete Ubuntu partition, but first I must restore the Windows 10 MBR.
