29 Μαΐ 2013 · Can't boot the USB drive when it is NTFS partition. Only FAT32 is bootable in UEFI mode. I created UEFI bootable USB from the 64 bit Windows 7 ISO image I downloaded from msdn. It still freezes on start-up logo. I can boot and proceed to the installation screen if I use Legacy Mode instead of UEFI.
27 Αυγ 2022 · Now, when I run the USB setup in my computer rather than in VM, the setup freezes on Windows 7 logo. The USB flash drive gets forever in active use (green light). I've read that some people are able to extract Windows 7 ISO targetting legacy system, with, say, Rufus, and they said it worked.
24 Ιουν 2016 · Install the WPT (social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/… also works for win7), run WPRUI.exe, select First Level, DiskIO, FileIO & under Performance Scenario select Boot. Number of iteration can be set to 1 and click to start. This reboots Windows and captures all activity during boot.
19 Μαΐ 2017 · After installation the PC rebooted and in "starting windows" screen the PC is stuck. The default SATA controller is AHCI in my motherboard. In some website I red that enabling SATA compatibility will solve the problem but it didn't.

9 Ιουν 2017 · On Windows 7, you'll often see the Windows Error Recovery screen if Windows can't boot properly. Select "Launch Startup repair (Recommended)" on this screen to run startup repair. Windows will prompt you for your keyboard layout and a username and password for your PC.
31 Ιαν 2014 · If I change the boot mode back to OS Mode Selection = UEFI OS, the computer will freeze at the “starting windows” screen again. All this worked for me, good luck. There might be more to it, but this is a start.
