26 Απρ 2015 · Copy the critical boot files from the Windows NT startup diskette boot.ini, ntldr, NTDETECT.COM, onto the root of the system disk. Remove or disconnect the Windows NT startup diskette and restart the virtual machine. If the system fails to boot you must recreate the Master Boot Record (MBR).

If that doesn't work, the only thing it seen you could do is reinstall NT 4 on one of the systems, restore the image to a second drive in the system, re-install the software and try to copy any data you might have over from the other drive.

31 Μαΐ 2001 · The DOS boot error is. "A disk read error occurred. insert a system disk & restart the system". I have tried booting with then NT boot disk to try to run the repair and I get the repair to start and run into a NT blue screen where the new error is.
14 Μαρ 2002 · If you are certain the hard disks are properly connected, do the following general hard disk troubleshooting to verify your hard disks. Check for viruses: Scan the drive for viruses; if the Master Boot Record is infected, Windows NT may not see the hard disk properly.
