20 Μαρ 2012 · How it Works. Once activated the Windows Server 2008 R2 evaluation (or trial) lasts for 180 days, after which you must either enter a valid license key or the server will shut itself down after one hour of use.
Windows Server 2008 R2 with Service Pack 1 (SP1) includes previously released updates for Windows Server 2008 R2.
To get 180 day trail, select Activate Windows from the Windows search box. Select activate over the Internet. Do not enter an activation key unless you really have one and select Next. Windows will then verify over the internet and come back stating clearly that you have 180 days.
31 Μαρ 2021 · Since Windows Server 2008 R2 reached end of Extended Support 2020. 2008R2 is out of service. I suspect that there is no longer a way to get the activation for 180 days.
26 Σεπ 2010 · If you are trying to use an evaluation copy of Windows Server 2008 R2 (WS08R2), the following information will come handy. You don’t have to provide the product key for WS08R2 evaluation version but you have to activate it within 10 days. The 10-day activation can be extended five (5) times by using the rearm.
