21 Φεβ 2017 · During more research, I found that file W32time.dll was missing from the Windows/System32 folder. Located a copy, placed it in the System32 folder and tried again. This solved the issue!
Normally, the "Date and Time Properties" dialog has a third tab "Internet Time" where you can turn on/off the use of a time server, or change where it points. This tab is missing, and Windows is frequently setting itself to the wrong time, which is very frustrating.

After joining the XP machine to the new Windows2000 Server domain, the option for using internet time is no longer present in the "Date and Time" dialog box. I logged off and logged on as local Administrator, but the option is still missing.

27 Ιουλ 2023 · Switch to the Internet Time tab and click Change settings. Check the Synchronize with an Internet time server box and select a time server from the drop-down menu. Click the Update now button to synchronize your computer with the time server.
