You can use the command line tool w32tm. This tools lets you set the time server as well as the parameters surrounding it. An example, to set the time to use time.windows.com. w32tm /config /manualpeerlist:time.windows.com /syncfromflags:ALL .
10 Οκτ 2024 · I can't change the Time Server via the Internet tab in Time Settings because the tab is not there. I understand that domain joined devices will replicate its time via the DC, however, this is not true for me.

After joining the XP machine to the new Windows2000 Server domain, the option for using internet time is no longer present in the "Date and Time" dialog box. I logged off and logged on as local Administrator, but the option is still missing.

23 Σεπ 2005 · the internet time tab will not appear when the computer is part of a domain because it will sync the clock with a domain controller if you want to get around this, you can set it from the command line by using "net time /setsntp:<timeserver>"
