The Nurse Residency Program is designed to offer support to new nurses during transition from the student role to the licensed Registered Nurse role. The Nurse Residency Program is one year in duration and starts with classroom instruction lasting two to three weeks.
The Nurse Residency Program (NRP) is for all nurses with less than 12 months of experience, to be completed within the first year. NRP provides a framework for a successful transition to a professional nurse by promoting educational and personal advancement.

Eligibility for the Nurse Residency Program includes: Graduates of accredited nursing programs (ADN or BSN) with less than 12 months of experience.
