Proverbs is divided into three parts. Chapters 1-9 contain 10 speeches about virtue, integrity, and generosity. Chapters 10-29 are a collection of wise sayings about life. Chapters 30-31 explore fearing the Lord, personified by Lady Wisdom.

27 Ιαν 2014 · These sayings in this unit are as follows: Proverbs 23:12, 23:13-14, 15-16, 17-18, 19-21, 22-25, 26-28, 29-35, and 24:1-2. Proverbs 23:12 is a quite typical educational or rearing proverb: ”Apply your heart to instruction and your ear to words of knowledge.” The next three sayings also encourage obeying the teaching of the father and mother.
