16 Μαΐ 2023 · As of the 4.03 update, which came out on May 11th, a new Steam Deck settings preset was added to the game! Using this preset will automatically set your configurations to something that works well with the Deck, which includes FSR 2 and putting most quality settings on low:
Best settings that grab 30-34fps for myself on Steam Deck are as follows: Proton Version (s): Proton Experimental / Proton Hotfix. Graphics settings. FSR2. FSR Quality = Balanced. Dynamic Resolution = On. Screen Space Ambient Occlusion = on. Screen Space Reflections = High. Motion Blur = On. Blur = On. Bloom = On. Depth of Field = On.
I think the settings from the cryobyte33 are the definitive settings for steam deck. Fidelity(high/ultra@30fps), Balanced (mostly high and ultra near locked 40FPS) and unlocked frame rate in the high 40s and low 50s with low settings.

14 Δεκ 2022 · TLDR: use Proton Experimental Bleeding Edge. Step by step: In your steam deck, gaming mode, go to Library and search for Proton Experimental. Click on it, then on the Settings (the gear icon button) > Properties. There, click on Beta and select "Bleeding Edge". Let steam download any updates for it.
