8 Δεκ 2010 · Yes, bosses can cheat. Yes, they're stronger than most other bosses. Yes, they have their own guidelines for their cheat. No, it does not disrupt the concept. You can AVOID the boss cheats, first of all. As you said, each cheating boss has a guideline for their cheat. Simple solution: don't step over the guideline.

You can in like two fights in Wysteria's plot, and there are two cheating bosses in Olympus. Otherwise, the first cheater the player is expected to meet is in Celestia
You have to learn to strategise around the enemy's cheats. EX: Boss will use earthquake every 5th round for no pips. Solution: Stack up on blades/traps for first 3 rounds, cast on 4th, heal on 5th. Rinse and repeat. Or, just simply trap without blading.
