Western Michigan University will also grant in-state tuition to all individuals who are not eligible for VA educational benefits but have honorably served or are serving in the Reserve or Active Components of the US Armed Forces.
Western Michigan University waives the application for our undergraduate WMU application for veterans, current service members, spouses and dependents. Qualified applicants provide their service information on the admissions application in order to waive the fee, and it will automatically be waived.
Remember, only veterans who qualify for full Post-9/11 benefits are eligible to participate in a Yellow Ribbon program. The following table may show you how likely you are to have outstanding tuition costs covered by the Yellow Ribbon Program at Western Michigan University. Remember, contributions from the college will be matched by the VA.
Students dropping or withdrawing from any or all classes may have an affect on student’s current and future financial aid, veteran benefits, and academic standing. Please consult your academic advisor, Financial Aid or VA certifying official before reducing credit hours or withdrawing.
World Mission University offers financial support to students who are U.S. military veterans. Additionally, WMU is a participant of the Department of Defense’s Tuition Assistance (TA) program for Active military service members, as outlined in the Veterans Benefits and Transition Act of 2018 (Section 103).
