If you've been wanting to use voice chat in Payday 2 but can't figure it out, I have just the guide for you! (personally this solution worked for me, but I can't always say the same for other people) Open your Windows settings, and go to System.
First, make sure your mic is working. Then, options > sound options > turn voice volume all the way down > turn voice volume to 100% you're welcome. credits to DOY who figured this trick out. I've also gotten it to work by going into Steam Overlay and starting a voice call with a friend.

20 Ιουν 2014 · If you have a 5.1 stereo system set up all of the voice over comes in through the center channel. Open your HD audio settings and disable it while you're playing with a headset. You should be able to hear the voice now. I had the same problem and this is what solved it for me.
