17 Αυγ 2011 · This is a plan for a simple wooden gunbox. The dimensions were chosen to work for me and my equipment - it shouldn't be hard for you to alter any dimension to make the box taller, shorter, thicker, thinner.

2 Μαΐ 2022 · The “gun box” concept is really a scope stand and shooting kit box. Standing guns upright consumes a ton of space between the gun and the box that is best used for other things. They’re also useless for air travel. The guns aren’t secure enough. And they’re heavy and big resulting in surcharges.
23 Οκτ 2020 · Found plans of a simple range pistol box on another site (link), however I don't have tools to cut out proper grooves for sturdy joints. Wondering if I can get away with simply butt joining the plywood by using glue, and maybe some reinforcing brackets on the inside?
25 Οκτ 2013 · Joined the local Bullseye Pistol team, and everyone had range boxes… Well, no way I'm going to buy a metal one for $200! Mostly cherry and 1/2" plywood to save weight. The scope mount swivels up so I can use the scope between shots to check placement, the pistol tray holds up to three pistols, and of course, there's target storage in the back.

28 Ιαν 2006 · Yes, many folks have built these boxes. I have intentionally left the internal configuration vague, so the builder can choose how to best meet their pistol carrying needs. A set of hardwood pegs, set-up on a screw clamp configuration, works well for holding pistols in place.
6 Αυγ 2005 · I have a three gun, but they came up to five gun boxes. There was a nice article in an old American Rifleman that explained how to make your own. The concept is that you build the box as an entire box, and then slice through diagnally, so that you end up with a tapered lid and box side.
