10 Ιουν 2022 · Groundhogs have humorously large front teeth. As a result, these creatures are often known for their chompers. Despite how large and intimidating their teeth may be, groundhogs are actually very docile and rarely bite humans.
Also known as woodchucks, groundhogs spend much of their days alone, foraging for plants and grasses and digging burrows up to 66 feet long.
Some people refer to young woodchucks as “chucklings.” A Chewing Problem – Like all rodents, this species’ teeth constantly grow. In fact, their teeth grow about 1.5 mm in a single week. To keep their teeth at a manageable length, they must constantly gnaw on things to wear them down.
