3 Φεβ 2024 · Prices to be paid to Irish wool producers in 2024 look set to remain similar to those received for the product in recent years. Irish Grown Wool Council (IGWC) chair, Patrick Byrne, told Agriland that he predicted prices to remain the same “at least until the 2024 shearing season begins”.

8 Ιουν 2022 · British Wool will pay an average of 36.4p/kg (43c/kg) for 2021 wool supplied, up 135% on 2020 prices. The wool marketing body, which is owned by 35,000 British sheep farmers, also said there will be “further price improvement” for the 2022 clip.
Scotch or grey wool is forecast to remain at just 5c/kg to 10c/kg, while the general price expected for lowland wool is 15c/kg to 20c/kg or a “touch extra”, according to Vincent Pierce.
