Wordpress will redirect you to the URL you have configured in: Settings > General. My guess is you're getting to the wordpress engine, and it is redirecting you to the local IP. Just update "Wordpress Address (URL)" and "Site Address (URL)" to be your public IP address and you should be good.
18 Φεβ 2014 · First of all I installed wamp server on port 8081 (Because there was IIS on 80). the word process was installed successfully and blog was running smoothly. Now I stopped the IIS and set the apache port to 80. But the application is redirecting to port 8081.

Similar to changing localhost parameters, how do I serve web pages externally through a port other than port 80? Also similar to configuring Apache to listen to an alternate port. Of course, the navigation should keep to the specified port and not revert to port 80.
9 Μαρ 2015 · So I found /etc/nginx/sites-available/wordpress file and changed the following two lines: listen 80 default_server; listen [::]:80 default_server ipv6only=on; But no matter how I change it, it only works with both port set to 80.
