The following collection of activity sheets will help your students practice identifying words that rhyme. Activities include matching pictures whose words rhyme, connecting rhyming words from two lists, adding letters to create words that rhyme with a given prompt, writing words from a given picture prompt, and more.
Rhyme Scheme Worksheet. Figure out the pattern of end rhyme in each poem. This creates the rhyme scheme. Every time there is a new end sound in a stanza, write the next letter of the alphabet. If an end sound repeats in a stanza, write the letter you already used for that sound.
Find the Rhyme Scheme. One way to learn about a poem is to look at its rhyme scheme. To find the rhyme scheme, we give a letter to each ending sound of a line. Look at this example on the right. The first line ends with red, so that line is given the letter A.
