21 Μαρ 2008 · When I go to Help>Activate from the file menu both Activate and Deactivate are greyed out. The resolution at times is a reboot and others a repair or reinstall.
17 Αυγ 2017 · Adobe's fix for the issue was to provide a download of a new version of CS3 that does not require activation, but did require receiving a new serial #. Unfortunately no matter what I try, my downloaded version is still asking to be activated and I cannot get past this point. A little history… The above fix works for some, but has not worked for me.

Properly Re-Activate Adobe CS3, CS4, CS5 Now re-launch your Adobe app, like Photoshop, and you should should be greeted with a proper activation screen, not the useless "repair" version. Feel free to activate online, or using the automated phone method.
